Erase Yourself From The Internet

Data brokers legally collect and sell your personal information, and by law they have to delete it if you ask. This free guide hands you the one-prompt tool plus the by-hand runbook that turns Claude into your data-removal lawyer, finds what's exposed, forces it down, and buries what won't delete.

No email required. Use it today.

Right now scammers and stalkers can buy your home address, phone number, and email, because a $200 billion industry sells your private data to the highest bidder. This is the exact system to find it, force it down with legal requests, and bury what won't delete. Hundreds of sites have your data. About 15 minutes to start. $0. It replaces paid services like Incogni.

What You'll Learn

  • Find everything that's exposed about you in 10 minutes
  • The prompts that turn Claude into your data-removal lawyer
  • Force data brokers to delete you (it's the law)
  • Bury old results off the first page of Google
  • Free: it replaces paid services like Incogni

The Fast Way: Install The Free Skill

Everything in this guide is automated in a free Claude skill. Install it, say "wipe my footprint," and Claude runs the whole process in one prompt. The step-by-step prompts after this are the by-hand version if you'd rather do it manually.

The one-prompt version (/wipe-footprint): it finds where you're exposed, ranks it by danger, writes every legal deletion request for you, and saves a removal kit. Free and open source.

Get the free skill on GitHub: github.com/coopersimson96/ai-content-system/tree/master/skills/wipe-footprint

How the skill works:

  1. Install it. Grab the skill from the GitHub link above and drop it into Claude Code. Connect Firecrawl for the strongest results (optional, it falls back to built-in search)
  2. Run the command. Type /wipe-footprint and answer a few quick questions: your name, email, phone, and city
  3. Say "do it for me." It finds every site selling your data, ranks it by danger, writes the legal deletion request for each one, and sends them, emailing the brokers and filling out the opt-out forms
  4. Clear a couple of clicks. A few brokers throw a CAPTCHA or a confirm-by-email step that you have to clear yourself. Do those and you're done. Re-run it every quarter to stay clean

Honest heads up: removal isn't instant. Brokers take days to weeks and can re-list you over time, which is why it's worth re-running. The skill does everything it legally can automatically. The only manual part is the CAPTCHA / confirmation clicks a human is required to do.

Or, Do It Yourself: The By-Hand Version

Don't want to install the skill? You can do the exact same thing with copy-paste. Data brokers legally sell your home address and phone, and by law they have to delete you if you ask. Paste each prompt into Claude as you go.

1. See What's Exposed

Google your name, email, and phone. Screenshot what comes up, then paste it in:

Here are results from Googling my name, email, and phone number: [paste]. Categorize every result as data broker, social media, old account, or article, note exactly what personal info is exposed, then rank the whole list in deletion-priority order, most dangerous first. Output it as a checklist.

2. Make Claude Your Removal Lawyer

For each data broker, generate the legal opt-out, filled in. Then paste it into the opt-out page. Brokers that expose address + phone go first.

Write a formal CCPA opt-out and data-deletion request to [broker name]. Include my full name, my email, a firm demand to delete and opt out of sale of all my personal info, the specific CCPA sections that require compliance, and a 30-day deadline for written confirmation. Copy-paste ready. If I'm in the EU, use GDPR Article 17 instead.

The major brokers and their opt-out pages:

  • Spokeo: spokeo.com/optout
  • Whitepages: whitepages.com/suppression-requests
  • BeenVerified: beenverified.com/app/optout/search
  • MyLife: mylife.com/ccpa/index.pubview
  • Radaris: radaris.com/control/privacy
  • TruePeopleSearch: truepeoplesearch.com/removal
  • FastPeopleSearch: fastpeoplesearch.com/removal
  • Intelius: intelius.com/opt-out
  • Acxiom: isapps.acxiom.com/optout/optout.aspx
  • LexisNexis: optout.lexisnexis.com
  • That'sThem: thatsthem.com/optout

Opt-out URLs change over time. If a link 404s, search "[broker name] opt out" for the current page.

3. Check Breaches + Kill Dead Accounts

See what's leaked at haveibeenpwned.com, then delete the logins you forgot about (justdeleteme.xyz lists the delete pages). For anything that hides the delete option, have Claude write the demand:

Write a firm account-deletion request to [company]. Demand permanent deletion of my account and all associated personal data under CCPA (or GDPR Article 17 if EU). Include my account email, a 30-day deadline, and a request for written confirmation. Copy-paste ready.

4. Bury What Won't Come Down

Old articles you can't delete? Out-rank them on Google over 2 to 3 months.

An old result I want buried is: [title + keywords]. Give me 5 content angles using my name and profession that target the same keywords, so fresh pages can out-rank it. For each: a title, a one-line summary, and where to publish (LinkedIn, Medium, or my own site).

This does for free what services like Incogni charge monthly for.
