What you would own

You shoot and edit Cooper's content: daily short-form, in-person events, client work, and the long-form YouTube channel we are starting from zero. You own the gear, the footage library, and the first cut.

Responsibilities

  • Film short-form daily: talking head, b-roll, screen, on location, at events.
  • Cut the first edit fast: captions, overlays, sound, in the house style, ready for review.
  • Produce YouTube: sets, lighting, long-form shoots, thumbnails, upload cadence.
  • Cover in-person events and client shoot days; you are the camera in the room.
  • Own the footage library and the gear so nothing is lost and nothing is shot twice.
  • Work from the creative director's briefs, and pitch the shots they did not see.

What we need

  • 2+ years shooting and editing for social; show a reel you shot AND cut.
  • Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, or CapCut; we care about speed and the finish, not the tool.
  • You can run camera, lighting, and audio solo, in a room or in a field.
  • You keep pace with a founder who films most days and changes the plan on the spot.

Nice to have

  • You have grown a YouTube channel
  • Motion graphics
  • Photography

What you get

  • A creator who films daily, so your reel fills fast
  • Gear budget you help pick
  • YouTube to own from episode one
  • Kelowna, in person, on the lake
  • Events and shoot days across BC and beyond

[ 03 ] · How hiring works

Fast, direct, no surprises.

Seven steps. Most people finish in under three weeks. You always know where you stand.

  1. 01Apply with a 60-second intro video

The form takes 5 minutes: your links, a short Loom, three questions. No cover letter.

  2. 0215-minute intro call

A quick call with Josh. We set expectations and check there is energy on both sides.

  3. 03Strengths assessment

Not a test. A map of how you think, learn, and execute, so we put you where you are strongest.

  4. 04Hiring manager interview

A deeper conversation on values and how you work. We hire for alignment first, skill second.

  5. 05Paid test project

Real work from the actual role, paid at a real rate, on a real deadline. You see the job, we see the work.

  6. 06Final call with Cooper

The last step. If we are both fired up, we move fast.

  7. 07Offer

If we are both excited there is no reason to wait. Start date set on the call.

You hear from Josh within 5 business days either way. Most people go from application to offer in under three weeks.
