There are hundreds of Claude Code skills floating around GitHub, and most of them collect dust after the first week. After testing over 60 skills, three of them stuck. Not because they are the most complex or the most flashy, but because they handle the boring, repetitive work that eats hours if you do it manually.

What You'll Learn

  • Install instructions for all 3 skills, copy paste ready
  • How each skill works and what it replaces
  • Real daily workflow examples for each one
  • Why these 3 beat 60+ other skills tested

Skill 1: SupaData Transcript

What it does: pulls the full transcript from any video on any platform. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, X/Twitter videos, Facebook. Paste the URL and get the complete transcript back in seconds. It also grabs metadata: title, author, view count, likes, and publish date.

Daily use: every time you see a viral video in your niche, paste the URL into Claude Code. The transcript comes back instantly. Use it to break down competitor content (what hooks they are using, how they structure their scripts, what their CTA is) or to research what top creators are actually saying about a topic before writing your own script. Instead of watching 20 videos and taking notes, pull 20 transcripts and have Claude analyze all of them at once.

3 ways to use it:

  1. Reverse engineer viral content. Paste a competitor's top performing video. Claude pulls the transcript, breaks down the hook, identifies the script structure, and tells you exactly why it worked. Then ask it to write your version with a different angle.
  2. Research a topic through creator content. Pull transcripts from the top 10 videos on the topic. Have Claude summarize the key points, find what everyone agrees on, and spot the gaps nobody is covering yet.
  3. Repurpose videos into written content. Take any YouTube video or podcast episode, pull the transcript, and have Claude turn it into a blog post, email newsletter, or social media thread. One video becomes five pieces of content.

Install: SupaData offers a free API tier. Sign up at supadata.ai, grab your API key, and save it to your config. The skill handles the rest. Just paste any video URL into Claude Code.

Skill 2: Playwright CLI

What it does: lets Claude Code control a full web browser programmatically. It opens pages, clicks buttons, fills forms, takes screenshots, scrapes data, and tests functionality, all from a single command. Anything you would do manually in Chrome, Claude does it for you.

Daily use: screenshot competitor landing pages for design inspiration. Scrape product data from websites. Test your own landing pages on mobile. Run full site audits checking every link, image, and meta tag. Automate form submissions for testing.

3 ways to use it:

  1. Audit your entire website. Tell Claude to check every page on your site for broken links, missing images, slow loading pages, and SEO issues. It opens each page, scans everything, and hands you a report. What would take a full afternoon happens in minutes.
  2. Screenshot competitor pages. Building a new landing page? Have Claude screenshot the top 5 competitors in your space, save them all to a folder, and analyze what design patterns they share.
  3. Test your checkout flow. Tell Claude to go to your website, add a product to cart, go through checkout, and report anything broken. It clicks every button, fills every form, and tells you exactly where customers are dropping off.

Install (two commands):

npm install -g playwright
npx playwright install chromium

Once Playwright is available, Claude Code automatically writes and runs browser scripts whenever a task involves the web.

Skill 3: Last 30 Days

What it does: a research skill that searches Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Hacker News simultaneously for any topic. It pulls real posts with engagement data (upvotes, likes, views, comments) and synthesizes what real people are actually saying right now. Not what Google's algorithm surfaces. What people are discussing.

Daily use: run /last30days every morning with a topic you are creating content about. It comes back with the top Reddit threads, most liked X posts, trending YouTube videos, and viral TikTok takes, all in one report. Use it to find content ideas, validate video topics before filming, research competitors, and check trending tools. It replaces hours of platform hopping.

3 ways to use it:

  1. Find content ideas every morning. Run /last30days with your niche topic. Pick the topics with the highest engagement and make your own version.
  2. Validate a video topic before filming. If nobody is talking about it, maybe save it. If it is blowing up across platforms, you know it is worth your time.
  3. Research your competitors. Search your competitor's brand name or product. See every Reddit thread, tweet, and YouTube video where people are talking about them. Find out what their customers love, hate, and wish was different, then use that in your own marketing.

Install:

git clone https://github.com/coopersimson96/last30days-skill ~/.claude/skills/last30days

The real power: after running research, Claude becomes an expert on your topic for the rest of the conversation. Ask follow up questions, request content angles, or have it write posts, all grounded in what is actually trending, not what it was trained on months ago.

Why These 3 And Not The Other 57

These three skills form a complete research and automation stack. SupaData transcribes individual videos so you can analyze any content in seconds. Last 30 Days tells you what is trending across every platform at once. Playwright automates every browser task you would otherwise do by hand.

Complex skills are impressive once. Simple skills that save you 30 minutes every day are worth more than an agent that saves you 5 hours once a quarter. Install all three. Use them for a week. You will not go back.
