The CEO of Palantir says people with ADHD will be some of the biggest winners in the AI era. Here is the exact setup to turn ADHD from your biggest weakness into your biggest advantage: the capture system, the parallel-projects hack, and a 7-day plan. In plain English, no coding.
What You'll Learn
- Why single-focus advice fails ADHD brains, and what to do instead
- The parallel-projects setup that lets 3 things build while your brain jumps
- How to capture every intrusive thought before it derails your day
- A simple 7-day plan to roll it out, no coding required

Not medical advice. I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice. Every brain is different and what worked for me may not work for you. This is just the system I built for my own ADHD, shared in case it helps. If you are struggling, talk to a professional.
The CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp, said it plainly in a recent interview: "There are basically two ways to know you have a future. One, you have some vocational training. Or two, you're neurodivergent." (Reported by Business Insider and Fortune, March 2026.) Neurodivergence includes ADHD. In other words, the way your brain works is about to become an advantage, not a liability.
Here is the honest version of the story. For most of my life I started everything and finished nothing. I would start one task, my brain would jump to another, I would chase something unrelated, and an hour later nothing was done. Every productivity guru told me to fix it by focusing on one thing at a time. For my brain, that never worked. What finally did was not a drug and not another planner. It was letting AI do the part my brain refuses to do, so I am free to do what it is actually built for.
The One Reframe
The ADHD brain is not bad at focus. It is bad at SINGLE focus. It wants to jump, connect, and start new things. Single-focus productivity advice fights that, which is why it never sticks. The trick is to stop forcing your brain to behave like a neurotypical one and instead build a setup that lets it run the way it already wants to.
The reframe: your distraction is not the enemy. It is only a problem when jumping to a new thing means the last thing stops moving. Remove that, and jumping becomes a superpower. That is exactly what AI does. It holds the threads you are not looking at, so your brain is free to bounce.
The core move: stop trying to do one thing at a time. Set up your work so that three things can move forward at once, and let AI keep the ones you are not touching alive.
Capture Every Thought
Before you automate anything, you need one place to dump every intrusive thought the second it appears. If it lives in your head, it pulls your focus. If it lives somewhere you trust, your brain lets it go.
- Pick one inbox. One notes app, one chat, one doc. Not five. One place you dump everything
- Dump without judging. Every idea, task, and worry goes in raw. Do not sort it yet. Speed beats neatness
- Let AI sort it later. Once a day, paste the whole dump into Claude and ask it to group, prioritize, and flag what only you can do
Here is my brain dump from today. Group these into projects, flag anything urgent, list the 3 things only I can do, and turn the rest into tasks you could handle as an agent. Keep it short.
What this does for you:
- Gets the noise out of your head so a stray thought costs you 10 seconds, not your afternoon
- Stops good ideas from disappearing the moment you get distracted
- Turns a chaotic day into a short, sorted list you can act on
The Parallel-Projects Setup
This is the one hack that turns the weakness into the advantage. Instead of one of you trying to finish one thing, you run a few AI agents that each work on a different project at the same time. Your brain gets to jump, and nothing stops moving when it does.
- Open Claude Code. This is where you run agents. You do not need to know how to code to use it
- Give each agent one job. Tell each agent the project it owns and exactly what done looks like. One agent per project
- Start them, then jump freely. Kick off two or three agents on the projects that do not need you right now, then let your brain go where it wants
- When you drift, just redirect. If your attention wanders off, you do not lose the work. Tell an agent to keep going and come back when it finishes
Why this works for ADHD: your brain wants to jump between projects. Now jumping is the engine, not the problem, because the projects move forward whether you are watching them or not. The thing that used to wreck your day becomes the thing that gets the work done.
The Calm Part Nobody Talks About
The surprise benefit is not just output. It is calm. When you know real progress is happening on three fronts even while you are not looking, the background anxiety of unfinished things quiets down. For an ADHD brain that usually carries a dozen open loops, that quiet is a big deal.
- Name your one main thing each morning, then let the agents carry the rest
- When a tangent hits, hand it to an agent instead of chasing it yourself
- Check in when an agent finishes, do not hover. Hovering is just another distraction
- Measure your week by what got finished, not by what got started
Your First Week
Do not build the whole system at once. That is the ADHD trap. Start with one piece and add the next only when the first one sticks.
- Day 1: Set up your one capture inbox and dump everything into it
- Day 2: Run the daily sort prompt once at the end of the day
- Day 3: Open Claude Code and give one agent one real project
- Day 4: Run two agents at once while you work on a third thing yourself
- Day 5: Name your one main thing each morning and let the agents carry the rest
- Day 6: Notice what you actually finished this week, not what you started
- Day 7: Keep only the parts that helped. Drop the rest. Simple wins
If your brain works like this, the win is not becoming a different person. It is finally turning the thing you were told was a weakness into the reason you get more done than anyone expected.
