What Is Banana Claude?

Banana Claude is a free Claude Code skill that handles image generation for you. You describe what you want in plain English and Claude does the rest. It picks the right style, writes a prompt with the lighting and composition figured out, and sends it to Google Gemini to generate the image.

You get 4K images in about 30 seconds. No design experience. No prompt engineering. Just describe what you want.

Setup: Install Banana Claude

Step 1: Install the skill

Open Claude Code and run the install command from the Banana Claude GitHub page. One command installs everything. No configuration. Claude Code downloads the skill and adds it as a slash command.

Step 2: Set up Gemini access

Banana Claude uses Google Gemini to generate images. You need the Gemini CLI installed and authenticated. If you already use Gemini, you're set. If not, install it and sign in with your Google account. It's free.

What you get

Two commands:

• /banana generate creates new images from a description
• /banana edit modifies existing images while keeping your style consistent

That's it.

How To Use It

Generate from scratch

Type /banana generate and describe what you want. Something like:

product photo of wireless earbuds on a marble surface with soft studio lighting

Claude figures out the domain mode (product photography here), writes a prompt with the subject, composition, lighting, and style dialed in, then generates the image through Gemini.

Edit existing images

If something's off, type /banana edit and tell Claude what to change. "Make the background darker" or "switch to a warm sunset tone." Claude keeps your style consistent across edits so everything looks like it belongs together. Good for keeping product shots, social posts, and marketing materials on-brand.

The 9 Domain Modes

Claude picks the right domain mode based on your description. Each one is tuned for a specific type of image:
