Why Not Just Prompt It

The reason most AI carousels look like the same boring slop everyone else is cranking out is that people skip the brief and batch-generate every slide at once. If you batch-prompt "make me 6 carousel slides" you get 6 slides that look like 6 different brands.

S: Show Claude

Give Claude examples of your content, your scripts, and inspiration for what you want your carousel designs to look like. Real screenshots from creators whose visual style you want. Brand decks. Anything that signals "this is what good looks like."

This is the most-skipped step. People paste the script and hit go. The result is generic AI carousels. The fix is feeding Claude what good looks like before asking it to design. References are how Claude learns the visual ceiling for this specific carousel.

What to gather:

• 3 to 5 reference carousels (real screenshots, not links)
• Your existing scripts or content you want to repurpose
• Bonus: any logos, product shots, or screenshots that need to appear inside the carousel. Claude can use them directly.

I: Idea Brief

Once Claude has everything, ask it to review it all and build you a full design brief. The brief is the contract. Once Claude commits to it, every slide gets generated against the same spec. This is what makes the final carousel feel cohesive instead of like 6 random slides.

What the brief includes:

• Sharp idea and audience promise
• Color palette with hex codes
• Font pairing
• Slide-by-slide headline + support copy
• Graphic type per slide (text-only, screenshot, comparison, etc.)
• The anchor slide spec

D: Design Deliver

Ask Claude to generate one anchor slide to lock in the style. Once it's right, tell it to make the rest of the carousel, anchored to that locked spec. Out comes a carousel that's fully edited, on brand, and unique to you.

If you like the way it looks, ask Claude to lock everything into a skill so you can reuse it later. Now every future carousel runs the same way, without you having to re-explain anything.
